Thanks to you, 77 students are receiving scholarships this coming academic year.

Thanks to your generosity and the generosity of fellow alumni and friends, the Independent Association of Framingham State Alumni (IAFSA), is awarding $75,725 in scholarships to 77 Framingham State students for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Awards range from $250 to $3500. Recipients were selected on the basis of college course credits, GPA, merit, financial need, and special criteria established by scholarship donors.

These awards will be particularly helpful as student fees went up about $380 for the coming year.

The thank you notes from students have been pouring in.

Here is one meant for all of you:

“You may not know it, but because of your help, my future will forever be changed,
and I will be able to work hard at becoming a college graduate.
If it was not for the help I receive, college would hardly be an option.
Now…I know it is and anything is possible…
It is truly amazing how one letter can entail so much happiness.
That one scholarship can help so much, but it did!…
As Harriet Tubman once said, “Every great dream begins with a dreamer.
Always remember you have the strength, the patience,
and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”
This organization is the dreamer and through this organization
and scholarship you are all changing the world.”
