The Garden on the Hill to bloom at Alumni House

Inspired by the passing of beloved classmates, the Class of 1964 has initiated The Garden on the Hill, a garden retreat to be located to the left of Alumni House.

It is intended to not only be a memorial for past alumni, but also a place of serenity for the Framingham State Community. The initial garden committee is composed of Betty Cummings Clarke’64, Pat McMahon Towle ’64, Debbie Regan Cleveland ’73, and Suzanne Higham ’86 of Frog Hollow Landscapes, LLC of Georgetown, MA, who offered her design services. Peggie Lowney Anderson ’64 and Barbara Landry Kasok ’64 have also added their time and talents. Opportunities for classes and individuals to sponsor trees, plantings, engraved rocks, and benches will soon be available.

To kick off the garden, a groundbreaking ceremony will immediately follow the IAFSA Annual Meeting during Alumni Weekend on the morning of June 3rd, 2017.

Also, beginning Alumni Weekend, a commemorative brick fundraiser will be launched to raise “seed” money. Bricks will be $100.00 each. Further information will be available soon.
