What do you have when Framingham State Alumni get together? A good time!

…They also have a good time while doing good.

The Amelia Davis Committee does alumni outreach by coordinating penpals and helping make alumni connections. Every year, they mail out over 2000 holiday greeting cards to the older alumni, from class members celebrating their 50th reunion and back. How do they do it? Twenty to 30 volunteers gather for an annual “party” at Alumni House to hand address, stuff, and stamp the cards while enjoying potluck homebaked goodies and sharing memories of their days at Framingham State.

This year one volunteer, Francesca Cerutti-Harris ’09, assistant director of Framingham Access Television, caught highlights of the annual “card party” for a special holiday segment of their monthly video “magazine”, the Framingham Beat. You can see her segment, and our happy volunteers, on YouTube. Check it out here: IAFSA on YouTube

We invite you to come back to Alumni House during Alumni Weekend, June 1-3, to meet up with fellow alumni and reminisce about past good times and experience another good time. Alumni House will be open Friday afternoon before the evening’s activities on campus and 9 to 5 on Saturday. Our Annual Meeting and program will be on Saturday morning at 9:30. The first stage of new Garden on the Hill project should be in place. Check back for more information and look for your annual Echo Newsletter coming to your mailbox in the coming weeks.
